Is There A Food You Have to Say “Goodbye” To?

I have a love-love relationship with peanut butter. I love it on pancakes, on bananas and apples, stirred into vanilla yogurt, and straight out of the jar.

Now, I’ll go weeks or months having a cordial, restrained relationship with peanut butter. Every so often, however, I find I’m becoming peanut butter obsessed. (When I start dipping straight out of the jar I know I’m in trouble.)

I have found that certain peanut butter brands don’t bother me at all. I do not like the kind with added sugars or oils. My true love is Smucker’s natural creamy peanut butter – just roasted peanuts and salt.

We all have times when we crave a little “bad” food. Sometimes we can shrug it off; other times it’s like trying to hold down a monster.

It may be better to give in a little and curb your craving. This can ward off an all-out binge. Here are some little food “sins” you can indulge in from time to time to help you feel satisfied and not deprived.

Surviving Food Cravings

I came home from my run today hungry and tired. It was lunchtime and my kids were sitting at the table with Grandma eating chocolate ice cream for dessert (that she’d brought special just for them). The house also smelled like pizza and the empty pan with crust crumbs was sitting on top of the stove.

Now, I knew I needed to get out of there. So, I drank my electrolytes then hit the shower. My lunch was in the oven baking and would be ready by the time I was finished.

Is Your Weight Problem in Your Head?

Have you ever watched a TV commercial for pizza? The cheese bubbles, the crust glows golden, and you can nearly smell the aroma. Suddenly your mouth is watering and you’re craving pizza like crazy! Maybe you even call up the local ristorante for a delivery.

If you react like this to a food commercial, you might have EFS.
