Have a Good Laugh

Did you know laughter is good for your health? It relaxes the body, boosts the immune system, improves blood flow, and releases endorphins.

Did you know laughter burns calories too? Laughing for 15 minutes burns about 50 calories (equal to a square of dark chocolate).

Maybe one of the most important benefits is laughter’s ability to lift your mood and give you a brighter perspective. So find every opportunity to have a good laugh. Here are a few jokes to get you started.

One of life’s mysteries is how a two-pound box of candy can make a woman gain five pounds.

I gave up jogging for my health reasons. My thighs kept rubbing together and setting my pantyhose on fire.

Having lost weight over the past few years, a lady was discarding things from her wardrobe that no longer fit. Her seven-year-old niece was watching as she held up a huge pair of slacks. “Wow,” the lady said, “I must have worn these when I was 183.” Her niece looked puzzled, then asked, “How old are you now?”

Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out. But I can usually shut her up with cookies.

I told my doctor I get very tired when I go on a diet, so he gave me pep pills. Know what happened? I ate faster.
I’m on a seafood diet…when I see food, I eat it.
Self delusion is pulling in your stomach when you step on the scales.

The toughest part of a diet isn’t watching what you eat. It’s watching what other people eat.
